Hi, I’m Kai — the creator of Tailys.
I studied to be a high school teacher and spent nearly 20 years designing custom wedding gowns. I’ve always been an educator at heart. But my greatest inspiration has always come from kids—their creativity, their courage, and the incredible potential they hold.
As a parent to a 20-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter, I’ve seen how powerful clothing can be in helping children express themselves and build confidence. Tailys was born from my daughter’s journey. She once struggled with anxiety, but when she started wearing her tail pants, something changed. That soft, playful tail helped her feel brave, and it sparked real connections with other kids.
Now, I design Tailys to share that same magic—to empower children, spark imagination, and help them shine.

We donated nearly 100 pairs of Tailys leggings for real-world tests in comfort, durability, and fun. Our biggest challenge? Creating a tail strong enough to withstand powerful tugs. Thanks to our dedicated testers, we reinforced stitching with a modified industrial sewing machine—making Tailys tails as tough as they are playful.
The results were inspiring! Kids wearing Tailys felt more confident, connected, and excited to engage with others—both kids and adults alike.
